The Alaskan-Native Corporation (ANC) Advantage –

Federal law enacted in 1971 provides special privileges to ANC’s for the benefit of economic improvement to the Alaska region. Additionally, these advantages translate directly to our Customers. ANC’s can negotiate Direct Awards (Sole Source) with Government Customers. The outstanding benefits working with Aleut companies are:

Direct Awards to ANC’s are fully protected and cannot be protested
No contract dollar limit on awards to ANC’s
A streamlined procurement significantly saves our Government Customers time and acquisition preparation and source selection costs
Special rule for DoD A-76 Direct Conversions – Unlimited value and eliminates the time consuming issues involved with A-76 studies and competitions – Greatly accelerates meeting mission requirements
Allows Government Customer to collaborate work requirements, technical approaches required, etc. so time spent on RFP activities is eliminated
Reduced risk to the Customer since ANC’s proven capabilities are reviewed thoroughly prior to award – Allows fully open dialogue with clear, proven examples of successful experience.
Results in better contract performance – We fully realize the value we bring to Customers and work hard to keep our customers happy for future business.
DoD Prime Contractors (if we sub-contract with a teammate) are eligible to receive a 5% Indian Incentive Rebate.

Strong Corporate Organization & Support -- Aleut Management Services (AMS), as our holding company, continues to deliver a unique and responsive mix of “Corporate-Level” services to AFSS. As a holding company for 5 distinctly managed and capable companies of which AFSS is one, AMS delivers consolidated, cost-saving services such as Human Resources, Purchasing, Peoplesoft-based Financial Management, ISO 9001 Quality & Safety, Operations Management, etc. Our consolidated model of expert back-end support to our subsidiary companies and, more importantly, to their Customers ensures that the AMS team stands ready to support any requirement in short-notice as well as ensuring a consistent, repeatable process. This consolidated management approach also delivers efficiency and cost savings to our customers with an overhead that is spread across multiple contract projects rather than a single project bearing full costs of such corporate-level services. This does not indicate that our Customers will not have on-site, staffed resources, but rather allows the Aleut Family of companies to evaluate each project, with varying mission requirements, and determine where Customer Service and operational costs can best be achieved for all involved, but yet with a consistent and repeatable process for our Customer’s main benefit.
